Rainbow beanies

I found the most FABULOUS rainbow yarn yesterday and just HAD to make some beanies!
Moda Vera "Fern". Such yummyness!

I thought I would share the pattern for FREE so you too can play.

Skill level needed for this pattern is EASY- intermediate at a stretch.

The fabric ends up nice and stretchy so that there is no trouble getting it onto babies heads, warm and fuzzy enough to be cute, without being so fluffy that its unusable. :)
Maybe have some fun and add some flowers?

You can find the pattern for preemie sizes here.

If you need help with the crab stitch (reverse single crochet....  Crochet Geek has a great Youtube tutorial.

There are a number of Charities around the world that need donations of beautiful handmade items for families who have had a premature baby or suffered the loss of a child. Here are a just a few:

Australia
Little Angels Memory Boxes
Angel Baby
Chances Clothes Project

United Kingdom
Upon Butterfly Wings

United States
Heavens Angels
Calvins Hats

The pattern for larger sizes  (newborn - adult) will go  up on the blog tomorrow. Until then.... Happy Hooking!
